Adopted talents

Within a fortnight Eurovision-2012 song contest starts.
Be prepared for some surprises…

For example, Ukraine will be represented by this young lady — her name is Gaitana — a singer of African origins.

It’s a little bit unusual…

And this lady — Anggun — born and grown up in Indonesia — will represent France.

And do you remember Alexander Rybak, winner of Eurovision-2009? Belorussia-born singer who represented Norway?
And all that talks like: “I figured he can't be Norvegian” or “Could he look less like a Viking successor...”.
Ha-ha.
Little did we know…
This year Norway will be represented by a Persian…

His stage name is Tooji. In Norway he is also known as “the Persian Prince”.
He was born in Iran but was moved to Norway when he was one year old.
Tooji is a singer, model and television host. He also works in municipal asylum reception centres as a social worker.
He promised that his performance will be «fiery to say the least».
So take a look at the video below.

And the same song with lyrics

Tooji is also eager to teach us to dance

This year’s Eurovision will give us an opportunity to continue talking about tolerance, modernity, being “open minded”… As well as about “good reception for those who need a new life and place where to live” and so on…

One more «adopted talent» — Cypriot-born Eleftheria Eleftheriou representing Greece with a song «Aphrodisiac».
Good for Greece not to adopt chukchi or indian for the purpose of having a «better noticeable and rememdered» participant. Though Eleftheria (and her way of exposing her underwear) will be noticed anyway.
The unforgettable moment — according to the fan's spirited discussion — is at the 2:00 mark :)

And the same song with lyrics.
Simple and slightly confusing when Eleftheria sings she wants “your” aphrodisiac. Is she asking for her man’s oysters? I think she means something else…

The song of Gaitana (Ukraine) — «Be my Guest».
It's a “two-purpose” song — it reminds that Ukraine will receive the Euro 2012 fans in June.

And now Anggun (France) with the song «Echo» («You and I»)

Franchement cette Anggun est magnifique, n'est-ce pas? :)
